Community Involvement

"Those to whom much is given, much is expected..."

The Seattle Brain Cancer Walk was started by a Northwestern Mutual - Puget Sound associate in 2008.  Since then the walk has raised over $5 million for research, clinical trials, and comprehensive care for brain cancer patients in the Pacific Northwest.  Nathan has been involved with this organization in varying roles since joining Northwestern Mutual in 2009.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is an organization that pairs adult mentors with at risk youth.  Being a Big Brother is hands down one of the most enjoyable things Nathan does, not to mention one of the most fulfilling.  He loves the opportunity to give back and be a positive image for change in a young man's life.  Nathan has been a Big Brother since 2014.

Seattle Rotary #4 is the 4th oldest and one of the largest Rotary clubs in the world.  It’s a legacy that our business and community leaders take seriously, gathering weekly to manifest the Rotarian ideals of friendship, fellowship, and service. As one of the world’s largest Rotary clubs, we can and do make big things happen--and you can help us achieve even more.

Swedish Medican Center Foundation works to build health communities - together.  Swedish is the largest not-for-profit health care provider in the Greater Seattle area.  Nathan has been an advisor to the Planned Giving Council since 2018.
